So that I can enjoy the New Year holiday with my family, plan my blog for the next year, and have a little time off; this will be the last post of the year.
I'll see you back here on January 2, 2014 for the start of a great new year!
I hope all of you have a safe and wonderful New Year Celebration! See you next year!

My Top 3 Goals for this Blog in 2014
With the holidays approaching, not a lot of people are focusing on blogs and internet. They are focusing on family, trimming the tree, and trying to make it through the holidays in one piece. Me included! Because of that, I wanted to make this week brief.
Today's post, I am posting what I want to see for this blog in 2014. I have two other holiday greetings coming up this week, but the rest will be taking off until the New Year! I will still check comments and emails though, so keep them coming!
My top 3 goals for January to March 2014 for The Baker's Acres
Goal #1: Consistency!
I am going to work back into my blogging groove! My goal is to post 4 days a week, MINIMUM! But I want to get on a blogging schedule so you will all know when to expect my posts, like clockwork! I think Mon-Friday is a great goal. That's five days, I know, but that gives me the week end off to plan and work my real life stuff.
Goal #2: Get more frugal tips, ideas, reviews... anything frugal on here
Everyone loves my articles about frugal tips and ideas, the recipes from scratch too. I want to start putting more of those up because 1) they are fun to post! and 2) they are great for all you... and who doesn't need to save money?
Goal #3: Get organized!
I want to get the blog better organized for readers to use. This will take some time to accomplish, probably the first three months LOL. But I want it to be easier to use for all of you. I know I group things for "Home, health, happiness, family/friends, frugal and fun" (my new tagline, b/c frugal needed it's own spot) but that doesn't mean the blog needs to be a jumbled mess. I'll be working with a few people in the background, off-screen, making the blog as user-friendly and easier to navigate as possible.

New Search Box to Try
Got a minute? I added a new search box to my blog for users to use. Try it out and let me know how you like it.
- Did it help you?
- Could you find what you were searching?
- Did it have any problems?
As more people try it out, I will decide whether or not to keep it. Let know your opinions on it in the comments.
Thanks!

Almost All Moved In!
I am so exhausted! We have been moving this month and all my blogging went out the window because of it.
BUT by this weekend, we will be fully moved in and I can finally get back to blogging. So next week will look normal again!
And once I find my camera, I can post pictures of my new apartment.
Oh the joys of moving… I am never doing this again!

My allergies are going bonkers.
I have been on hefty doses of Benadryl the last few days which makes it hard to write clearly enough to post. This morning I woke up in an angio edema attack again and my skin is burning really bad. So I have to stay on massive amounts of Benadryl. I will try to post again today but if I don't, that is why. I'll have Miles help me with the updates.

Browser Compatability Concerns
While checking on my comments for today, I found this one from an anonymous reader:
I googled for "world wide web explorer" to see if I could download it myself and see what they are talking about so I can fix it or adjust the blog to look right for that browser but I couldn't find anything on it.
If you are having trouble viewing the blog, could you please email me or comment on the post that is having issues and let me know:
Thanks everyone for sending me notes with a heads up when my blog misbehaves! It really helps me to keep The Baker's Acres in good shape.
P.S. You can also email me about typos and pretty much anything else you want to!
"Hello, I believe your internet site may be getting browser compatibility concerns. When I search at your web site in Safari, it appears good but when opening in World wide web Explorer, it's some overlapping. I just desired to provide you with a fast heads up! Other then that, wonderful weblog!"Thanks for the compliment! That made my day!

- What browser you are using. Provide a link where I can see what it is. I use Firefox, Chrome and my android browser (on my phone) to view the site each week. If you are using something different, it would help me to know what you are using so I can see it for myself.
- If you were viewing a specific post, add the link. I have found that when I am going through the blog to look for typos, broken links and other issues that some older posts really mess with the layout. Sometimes I can fix it, sometimes I can't. But I will always try.
- If you can, send a screenshot of the page so I can see what you are seeing. You can do this by pressing ctrl + prntscr buttons at the same time. Then open the email, click on the writing area and press ctrl + V. It will copy a shot of your screen so I can fully see what you are talking about.

One more week of school!
The boys have one more week of school left! I can't wait until they are done with their projects so I can post pictures of them. At first I really really wanted them to look better than everyone else's project but when I finally sat back and quit obsessing, I remembered that the main theme is for the kids to have fun with it. They are really enjoying it too. This week Miles has to finish writing his 7 paragraph report and Mendel has two more to go. I am so proud of what they have done so far. You can tell they are enjoying it.
Writing and stuff
I have been writing on Associated Content and I started on hubpages too. I need to work on my helium content too. But I am having fun with the writing. I don't get to spend oodles of time on it though. I am going to focus on it during the summer and post my articles once a week rather than everytime I publish something. I don't want my blog to turn into a huge ad for me LOL.
Ah, I must go for now. I am going to finish dressing up my blog.

Just a quick note before I vanish...
C minor *poof*
Seriously... My computer died. I guess I touched it or something. Maybe I breathed on it before with morning breath or something, but it totally died. Like, it's GONE! I'll be okay. Hubby is fixing it for me. I guess I'll have to do things like... I dunno, clean, cook, wash clothes. Perhaps I'll even learn something unusual while the withdrawal jitters wear off.
Anywhoodles, the boys are doing great. Lil Mendel is going through a moody phase. Happy and bouncing one minute and crawling into the deepest darkest parts of the boat and moping the next. I suspect some kind person is giving him candy with red dye. I can't prove it but MY children are NEVER moody! HA!
Miles is going through the stinking feet stage. The odor of his shoes endangers small animals, clears sinus passages and peels paint from the wall. There MUST be an end to this stage. Perhaps I could just amputate while he sleeps? Lysol is my friend.
So, now I am off to go find some habit to fulfill my lack of computer time... I think I'll practice splicing lines. I did well on my fifth one. The first was wild looking. Not sure what it was, but it wasn't a splice. Or, maybe I could go to the library! Man, my email is going to be so full! I have 5444 in my spam filter. I am NOT sorting all those things!

Blogger Bug... can't report it, so I'll post it...
I have spent way too much time trying to figure out how to fix this problem. Screw it, I am just posting it to my blog now. I am quite frustrated.
Here is the issue. Look at this post right here. In the paragraph where I said the rain lasted an hour, maybe... That was not the full sentence. My sentences keep getting cut off on the screen. It is annoying! Everytime I take the cursor off the paragrpaph that I am currently typing and click ANYWHERE other than THAT paragraph, it have issues. Look, I'll do it... Once I click elsewhere, it will have an entire line break odd
and look like this. If I try to fix it, it still breaks odd and the last of the sentence is chopped off once posted.
If I try to fix it, it still breaks in odd places and nothing shows up in the HTML code to show that there is something wrong. Frankly, I am getting sick of it. I am tired of trying to figure out where
to go to report it. If I try to "report a bug" it gives me options to choose.
Did it again... Of the options that seem to fit best, they open a page with their "choice" links to read to fix the problem. NONE of thes links are helping! They do not have an answer for me and I can not figure out where to EMAIL SOMEONE! I don't have time to read every little article that isn't relevant to my issue. Put up a damned "report a bug" button where we can actually REPORT THE DAMNED PROBLEM!
Disclaimer: the layout querks and malfunctions of this post are the fault of blogger. Not me. All the chopped up sentences are because I did not continually go back to fix them.

Thank you for the suggestion!
I now have a notify list for The Baker's Anchor. Toward the bottom of the page at the right hand side should be an "Updates Available" box. I tried putting it towards the top of the sidebar but it kept knocking everything to the very bottom of the page. I'll pout later... I am going to go play with my new toy MWAHAHAHAHA!
