Homemade Beading Fun

These last few weeks I have had a lot of fun making homemade beads with art paper and Sharpies. I really love Sharpies! I covered them with Diamond Glaze to make them look shiny.

Now I am curious, what is everyone's favorite hobby? It doesn't have to be artsy. It can be anything. I am creating a post for next Friday with my reader's favorite hobbies... so share your favorite sport, craft, hobby or anything else you love to do! Links are always welcome :)

Guess what I've been doing!? Well, besides going through a little funk because of the winter season... I have been working with my friend on books. Since I can't work outside of the home, and I still need money to survive, we decided to focus all our efforts on writing books. We put together my book of poetry and published it on Lulu.com. It's available in soft cover and ebook!

Now we are focusing on my next book of poetry and a book that we are working on together. We are feeling rather accomplished LOL. And now that we have one book under our belts, I can focus a little more on blogging too.

How's everyone else doing? I haven't been on here in awhile. I better go blog surfing again LOL.

T-Mobile HotSpot, Web Guard and Brian... My Experience

I was going to post a scathing review for T-mobile’s 4G hotspot prepaid internet. But then I talked to Brian.

Brian, if you read this, I am REALLY sorry for how our conversation started out. I am SO sorry for being so mean and rude. I am not usually like this, I swayer (with a southern drawl) I am not! T-mobile customer support just brings out the mean in me!

I called the first time and got passed around from one person who turned off Web Guard for me to another who is useless. But I still couldn't get to the page I wanted because it was blocked. By the time I got to Brian, I was quite livid. After a few minutes on the phone with Brian, I wasn't as mad anymore and I was actually feeling a little better about the whole experience. Until I got him, I was planning on returning my T-Mobile 4G Mobile Hotspot Modem and never using them again!

Brian helped me out though. We ended up trying a few things to get it to work and then he said he would call me back in an hour and a half to see if it was working. I was pretty okay with that. I ended up giving up and taking a nap. He did call back like he said he would and the problem still wasn't fixed.

He told me the totally awesome tech department had put their heads together and figured out what might be causing Web Guard to stay on when it should be turned off. Whatever they did worked and after I rebooted the device, I was able to see all the pages I needed and I think the internet was a little faster too. I was VERY pleased!

If it weren't for Brian at Tech support, this review would turn out very different. But he was not only helpful… he listened to me vent, cuss and be a complete jerk for the first few minutes. He didn't take any of it personally and was very understanding. Even after being transferred (and hung up on) by customer service, when I got tech support, Brian went above and beyond.

Thank you to Brian at T-mobile tech support for your awesomeness. Every tech person should be this great!

Planning ahead this time...

I have been focusing on my other blog for a little bit to get it going. I started making a blogging plan for December so I can be ready and know what I want to do.

I actually have four blogs right now. But I am going to delete one of them and just keep posting the allergy stuff on here. Two blogs is a lot of work and I am struggling to keep up with them. Three blogs... meh, it's okay because Miles is helping me. We're working on getting all the video software so we can give the best reviews! We're hoping the video game section of the blog will take off in January at the latest.

But I just can't keep up with four blogs. I love the housekeeping missions for the gimpy and limpy people and I can't wait to get more games reviews going! But allergies just seems to go on The Baker's Acres because that is where I started it all. I will work on this blog to make it easier to navigate too.

All in all, I am planning on making next year my best blogging year EVER! AND Miles is so great, he is going to help me set up the upstairs into an office where we can work (on my good days that is). And I'll also start doing video blogs.

Problogger suggested stepping out of your comfort zone a bit so I want to try that. Why? Because that is one area I have never really wanted to do because I am nervous I will look like an idiot. Or something like that. So I am going to work on that!

That's my update for now. I'll get into a nice posting rhythm as the time goes on!
